Elizabeth's aunt measures up March 4, 2011

Before we went to the Fabric Market, I took a fairly candid photo of Blair "indulging in her sinful habit", as she calls it.

Of interest is the tower of Dulwich School in the background and  the ingenuity displayed by Blair as she transformed the waste paper basket into a handy little table.

We hit the Fabric Market.
See below for the "official" name.

I can't stand the hard-spinning material.
It's so scratchy.

Sign as you go into the Market.

Everybody's consciousness enhanced?
Good, let's shop!

Blair checking out the silk.

There are three floors in this Fabric Mart, with row upon row of stalls selling all types of material and notions and tailoring services. You have to bargain, of course. You either love it or you hate it. Blair took to it like a fish to water.

Measurement time
Blair was fitted for two silk  jackets.

Getting a closer look at fabric for a pair of pants
at another stall.

Got culture?
We did that night.
A Canadian artist, Stephanie Vallee, had her
first exhibit in China and WE were invited.

Blair and the Reluctant Relocator
all dressed up with somewhere to go.

Yes! I love my aunt Blair!

I took Blair home before I completely wore her out.
We still have lots to see and do!

I thought I recognized that tower! How ironic that behind Mum in that shot from your balcony is a very proper English School tower, the replica of the original not a stone's throw away from us here in East Dulwich. Elizabeth, you're a super star and thanks again on behalf of the whole of this clan to your's for making this trip of a lifetime possible for Blair. HUGS and Love Patrick
